Presentation

In an ever-evolving world, young professionals must be able to think logically, in a global context, analyse issues, redefine specifications, and be creative from the reflection down to the implementation of a project. In order to achieve this, students submit their work to several juries of teachers and professionals from the end of Year 3 onwards.

The subjects studied, the researches conducted by the students are suggested or proposed based on real-life data. They are dual-purpose exercises, as much “rehearsals” or simulations than concrete situations and didactic materials.

Conferences given by leading personalities in their fields are opportunities to grasp different visions of today's world, to hear the point of view on a profession, to think in groups then to write individually.

Your Interior Architect training

Once in the professional world, they must show an open creativity, take conceptual initiatives, adapt to all kinds of scenario.

While imparting the required knowledge, the Académie Charpentier pays particular attention to helping students develop this mind-set and become actors in an ever-evolving world.

In order to achieve this, students submit their work to a jury of teachers and professionals from the end of Year 3 onwards. The studied subjects, the researches conducted by the students are suggested based on real-life data. They are dual-purpose exercises, “rehearsals” or simulations as much as concrete situations and didactic materials. Conferences given by leading personalities in their fields are opportunities to grasp different visions of today's world, to hear the point of view on a profession, to think in groups then to write individually.

Today's students must be trained not only to individual technologies, but also to every mode of expression, to the ability to design and travel from one area to another, to quick thinking and implementation, to intellectual mobility, to a broad culture and above all to the need for constant information.

Your Interior Architect title

The Académie is also recognised by the CFAI (Conseil Français des Architectes d’Intérieur), in charge of the promotion of the diplomas.

Your future profession, a field of possibilities

Interior designers often work on pre-existing architectural structures. It may consist in private houses or apartments, as well as public spaces, such as airports or schools, corporate offices or fashion stores.

Museography, set design, as well as urban layout are also part of this trade, that includes furniture and object design.

Design spans trades from fashion design to theatre or cinema setting, and object design to branding and signage that links it to visual communication and graphic design.

The teaching is precisely based on this versatility that reflects above all an attitude of reflection, and the pertinence of projects.
