The Benefits of Work-Study Programs
Work-study programs offer students the opportunity to combine degree-granting education with professional experience, while maintaining employee status.
It is an excellent way to develop a well-rounded career plan, gain independence, and improve access to employment.
The Professional Training Contract
The program offered by the Académie Charpentier is based on a professional training contract, which may be either a fixed-term contract (CDD) or a permanent contract (CDI).
- Duration: 1 year; available only in 5ᵉ grade.
- Target audience: young people aged 16 to 25.
- Compensation: varies depending on age and level of initial education. See the work-study portal for detailed terms and conditions.
The employer
Any employer required to contribute to the funding of continuing vocational training may take on a work-study student.
It covers tuition and pays the student a stipend for the duration of the contract.
The choice of host company is left to the student's discretion; the Academy provides a list of partner companies interested in the program.
