A true springboard to public higher education in the applied arts, it enables students to acquire the essential foundations in drawing and spatial design, while developing discipline, curiosity, and creative confidence, in a supportive, intimate setting.

At the end of this preparatory year, students can take the entrance exams for prestigious public schools of applied arts or architecture, both in France and abroad.

Those who wish to continue their studies at the Académie Charpentier also have the option, depending on the level they have achieved, to enter directly into the second year of the Interior Design program, which leads to a degree recognized by RNCP38011 at Level 7.

- Drawing workshops: analytical drawing, outdoor sketching, painting.
- Exploration of visual and spatial art: perspective, the visual representation of space, graphic design, illustration, typography, morphology.
- Artistic expression and the development of a personal artistic language, based on sensitivity, observation, and creativity.
- 5 workshops / 2 lectures: to explore various artistic fields through an immersive experience in contemporary creation.
- 2 practice exams: to simulate real exam conditions in preparation for the selected exams.
- Open Workshops: The opportunity to attend the open workshops featuring live models, offered daily by the Académie de la Grande Chaumière, free of charge.
