Admissions to the Charpentier Academy
Students can enroll at the Académie Charpentier in the first year—as part of a preparatory program for entrance exams to public schools of architecture or applied arts—or in a higher year if they have prior training.
Admission to the first year of the interior design program.
Admission to the first year of the program leading to the interior design degree—a Level 7 RNCP qualification recognized by the government—is based on an interview.
The purpose of this interview is to assess the candidate’s motivation to undertake a demanding program of study leading to a highly prestigious degree that is recognized by the government and the French Council of Interior Architects, and which is highly regarded by the professional community in which our many alumni are active.
It also allows us to assess each candidate’s artistic sensibility.
A lack of proficiency in drawing or painting is not a disadvantage. The first year is devoted to learning various drawing and painting techniques— first-year courses
Admission to a specialized preparatory program for entrance exams to public schools of architecture or applied arts.
The Charpentier Academy’s Specialized Preparatory Program offers all applicants to public architecture and applied arts schools, both in France and abroad, a year of theoretical and practical art training at our academies.

Parallel admission to the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year.
Admission to the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year is contingent upon submitting a specific application to an equivalency committee. This committee will evaluate your prior learning and determine whether to approve your admission to the requested year. The required application materials vary depending on the year you are applying for.
