Special Lecture by Jean Frédéric Nothomb - March 19, 2021.

Nature never makes mistakes in taste.

This is the topic of the special lecture that Jean Frédéric Nothomb, founder and president of Argile, will deliver at the Académie Charpentier.

Jean Frédéric Nothomb is Belgian and was educated in Belgium, Japan, and England. An entrepreneur at heart, he played a key role in Lafarge’s expansion in Asia and headed up Tollens Paints before founding Argile in 2006—after 20 years in the paint and decoration industry—alongside master colorist Pierre Bonnefille.

Their idea: to offer high-end products to architects, interior designers, set designers, and anyone—whether a professional or a private individual—who works in the field of interior design.

Their philosophy: to draw inspiration from the colors of the Earth. The challenge: to produce these shades on an industrial scale and pair them with authentic service.

This lecture, which is open only to students of the Académie Charpentier, will be posted online at a later date.
