Conference on Biomimicry at the Académie Charpentier

We are once again presenting the lecture given by Nicolas Vernoux-Thélot, an architect dedicated to the architectural application of biomimicry.

On March 15, 2109, the Charpentier Academy welcomed Nicolas Vernoux-Thélot, an architect with the IN SITU firm, who came to introduce our students to biomimicry. The event was marked by the keen interest our students showed in the speaker’s presentation.

Biomimicry is an innovation approach that encourages drawing inspiration from living organisms to foster sustainable and responsible innovation, in line with our major development challenges
— both environmental and societal. Despite growing demand from researchers and industry stakeholders, France lacks training opportunities in biomimicry, particularly for young designers. The Académie Charpentier is therefore breaking new ground with this conference, which will be followed by a series of lectures on the same topic starting next fall.
