Special Lecture with Mathieu Lehanneur
On April 1 at 5:30 p.m., the Académie Charpentier will be pleased to welcome Mathieu Lehanneur, an internationally renowned designer best known for creating the torch for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the Olympic cauldron, fora lecture open exclusively to our students, alumni, and faculty.
A leading figure in contemporary design, Mathieu Lehanneur has developed a multidisciplinary approach that bridges the worlds of object design, architecture, technology, and research. His career fully illustrates design’s ability to engage with industry, institutions, and current societal issues.
This event is fully in line with the Académie Charpentier’s educational philosophy: an education based on project-based learning, exposure to professional realities, and a constant connection to the world of design and interior architecture. Engaging with a practicing designer allows students to understand the demands of the profession, the complexity of design processes, and the collaborations that shape careers in the creative field today.
For faculty members, these conferences foster pedagogical reflection and strengthen the dialogue between academic training and professional practice. For alumni, they help maintain ties with the school and with an active network of creators and professionals.
By regularly organizing these types of events, the Charpentier Academy reaffirms its commitment to maintaining a vibrant bridge between the school and the industry, offering its students a stimulating, connected, and challenging environment.
A school on a human scale, open to the professional world—that, too, is part of the Charpentier experience.
