Set Design & Théâtre de l'Odéon: Students Take on the Pasolini Challenge
Since October, third-year students in spatial design, under the guidance of Professor Ana Zatezalo, have immersed themselves in the dense and radical world of Pasolini’s *Petrolio*, a work that is as demanding as it is inspiring.
The challenge: to devise staging concepts for three passages from the text, combining intuitive research, spatial storytelling, and visual experimentation. This project spanned several months and was enriched by meetings with the teams at the Théâtre de l'Odéon and discussions about Sylvain Creuzevault’s direction.
The final presentation will take place on Wednesday, April 15, at 1:00 p.m. at the Académie Charpentier. There, the students will present their creative worlds through models, drawings, scenographic concepts, and a short film.
The jury consists of Wulantuoya Li (President of the School), Sylvie Cedrin-Felix (Academic Director), Renata Canario (Admissions and Communications Officer), Sébastien Caron (architect), and Guillaume Farrault (project owner for the renovation of the Théâtre des Amandiers in Nanterre), Mathilde Desvaux (project manager for higher education at the Théâtre de l'Odéon), and Géraldine Fourmon (architect).
An event to discover emerging perspectives on a radical work at the intersection of architecture, theater, and writing.
