A new campus to support a new phase for the Charpentier Academy

Since the start of the 2025 school year, the Académie Charpentier has been welcoming its students to a new campus, marking a pivotal milestone in the school’s development and its educational mission.

After many years at its historic Paris locations, the Academy has chosen to move to a larger, brighter, and more functional space, in line with current practices in interior architecture and design. This change of campus reflects a clear commitment: to provide students with optimal learning conditions that meet the contemporary demands of the creative professions.

An environment designed for learning and practice

Located at 50 Rue Sébastien Mercier in Paris’s 15th arrondissement, the new campus enjoys a setting that is both accessible and inspiring. Close to the Seine and easily accessible by public transportation, it is situated in a neighborhood undergoing rapid transformation, reflecting the urban and spatial themes explored during the program.

The spaces were designed to support the specific educational approach of the Académie Charpentier:

  • workshops tailored to project-based work,

  • modular classrooms,

  • areas set aside for presentations, discussions, and group activities.

The campus thus becomes a true educational tool, fostering experimentation, hands-on work, collaboration, and constant dialogue between students and faculty.

Continuity and Projection

This new location does not mark a break with the school’s legacy, but rather a continuation of it: a rigorous education focused on practical skills, creativity, and individualized support. It also helps strengthen the ties between the various programs and better respond to changes in the fields of interior architecture and design.

By moving into this new campus at the start of the 2025 academic year, the Académie Charpentier reaffirms its ability to evolve with the times, while remaining true to what has made it unique for more than 80 years: training designers capable of envisioning and shaping the spaces of tomorrow.
